چکیده

In catheter minimally invasive neuro surgery (CMINS), catheter tip collision with the blood vessel detection during the surgery practice is important. Moreover, successful CMINS is depended on the discrimination of collision by skilled surgeon in direct operation. However, in the context of teleoperated scenario, the surgeon was physically separated. Therefore, lacking of haptic sensation is a major challenge for telesurgery scenario. A human operator-centered haptic interface is adopted to address this problem. In this paper, teleoperated robotic assisted surgery and psychophysics based safety operation consciousness theory was presented. Morevoer, a human operator-centered haptic interface design concept is firstly introduced into actuator choice and design. A semi-active haptic interface was designed and fabricated through taking full advantage of MR fluids. Furthermore, a mechanical model (force/ torque model) was established. In addition, in case of no collision, transparency of teleoperated system was realized, in case of collision, psychophysics based collision discrimination control scheme was firstly presented to provide safety operation consciousness. Experiments demonstrate the usability of the designed haptic interface and correctness of the safety operation consciousness control scheme.

Skin fold technique for central venous catheter fixation; Comparison with conventional method for postopration infections

Background: Central Venous Catheters (CVCs) are used not only as a tool to access to central venous system, but also for hemodynamic monitoring, parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy and hemodialysis. The use of CVCs is associated with some complications notably infections that are troublesome both to patient and physician. We conducted this study to examine catheter fixation with skin fold techni...

Retained Fractured Fragment of A Central Venous Catheter: A Minimally Invasive Approach to Safe Retrieval

BACKGROUND Complication following fracture of a central venous catheter can be catastrophic to both the patient and the attending doctor. Catheter fracture has been attributed to several factors namely prolong mechanical force acting on the catheter, and forceful removal or insertion of the catheter. CASE DETAILS In the present case, the fracture was suspected during the process of removal. T...

Intracardiac Infection at the Tip of Hemodialysis Catheter: Life threatening Morbidity

Endocarditis and intracardiac infection have been increased recently especially in dialysis dependent renal failure patients. This is usually intractable infection to broad spectrum Antibiotic therapy and in most cases surgical intervention was necessary. We have presented 45 years old man with intracardiac infection at the tip of dialysis catheter that after catheter removal intracardiac infec...

Catheter-related candidemia and identification of causative Candida species in patients with cardiovascular disorder

Background and Purpose: Catheter-related blood circulation infection is the most dangerous and serious side-effects of vascular catheters, which leads to the enhancement of the costs, mortality, and hospital stay duration, especially in the Intensive Care Unit. Regarding this, the aim of the current study was to identify the prevalence of catheter-induced candidemia in the Tehran Heart Center, ...

Minimally Invasive Surgical Approach to Distal Fibula Fractures: A Technique Tip

Wound complications following ankle fracture surgery are a major concern. Through the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques some of these complications can be mitigated. Recent investigations have reported on percutaneous fixation of distal fibula fractures demonstrating similar radiographic and functional outcomes to traditional open approaches. The purpose of this manuscript is to ...
